I thought that the movie that we whatched in class was interesting and different. I saw parts of the world that I have never seen before. I have wondered what it looks like in other places around the world or even other places in the United States. I really enjoyed the sceneries in the movie. At first I did not like how there was no sound. I know that I can't pay attention if there is not any sound because I will become bored and then I will day dream. Once I got into the movie I realized that it was a good thing that there was no talking. I think that it would have taken away from what was going on. I liked how parts of the movie was in fast foward.  It kept it interesting. I loved all of the bright colors in some of the contries and having dull colors in other places help the picture as well. Almost all of the elements that we have studied in class were used.

Notes on the Photography Film

-Pictures are used to help us remember things

-It helps remember old family members

-You can see other parts of the world and dream about going there

-Sometimes it even saves peoples lives

-Brownie cameras were the first cameras

-They were sold for a dollar so middle and upper class people could afford to have one

-Pictures show history, where we have been and where we are today

-National Geographic Magazine was falling but with photography they are one of the biggest known magazines today

-They introduced color photography and helped people see places around the world that they would never be able to go to

-A couple years after photography was invented people started to ask if photography was an art

-To make it more hands on photographers would scratch the picture when they were developing it to make it look more like a painting

-It helped people see what they believed in

-Photographers and organizations used photography to help stop child labor

-Camera's became the new instrument of art

-Photographers used cameras as a way to show people what was happening in WW1

-They were not aloud to publish pictures of dead U.S. soldiers

-If they were going to publish pictures of dead soldiers they had to be of the opponent

-In the 1900's photo's replaced paintings in homes
